BWB REMEMBERS THE BOOKS OF OUR CHILDHOOD (3 OF 3)
The third and final part in our Children’s Book Week series on the books that BWB employees remember from their childhood. Don’t forget...
Better World Books offers free services for academic institutions to dispose of unwanted books, whilst generating funding for themselves and a literacy charity. We work with facilities managers, sustainability officers and other campus staff directly. In 2010 Better World Books has joined up with the EAUC to offer this green service to all their members. It will raise funding for the EAUC, their members and a literacy charity. To learn more please email info@betterworldbooks.co.uk.
At Better World Books we encourage young people to start reusing and reading as soon as possible. This will create good habits of literacy and reuse. A book drive is a great way to earn funding for your school and a literacy charity. The students will benefit by practicing reuse and global citizenship, as the sale of every book they collect will support one of our literacy charities. Student-led collections at Colleges and Universities are principally managed by our charity partner READ International. To find out if there is a project already running at your University or if you can start one, contact them directly at info@readinternational.org.uk
