Our Impact

Better World Books is a new kind of business. Whilst there are plenty of companies out there that are just beginning to think about their social and environmental impact, for us these responsibilities are absolutely at the core of what we do.

From Day One, we’ve supported literacy by selling books. It makes sense doesn’t it? Every time we sell a book, one of our partner charities benefit. They don’t share in any profit we might be able to make, but in our everyday revenue. It’s a model that’s totally fair and very sustainable.

We now work with over 400 libraries and have given over £100,000 back to our clients and our literacy charities. We have diverted almost a million books from landfill and created 17 jobs in a tough economic climate.
