I was delighted with the service offered by Better World Books. Working in a college library we often have a lot of books which are no longer of use to us and did not know the best way to 'dispose' of them. A colleague gave me Better World Books’ details and from then on it was so easy. Contact was made with their office and boxes were sent out with clear instructions on how to pack and label them. I then emailed them and the boxes were collected very quickly right from the library and taken to their new local collection point. I would highly recommend them with the knowledge that others are benefiting from this service also.

I heard about Better World Books through a mailing list and contacted them immediately. They agreed to collect the books at no cost to us and to offer them for sale on our behalf. The arrangements and the collection went very smoothly. The fact that they did not have a long list of criteria or specified a minimum number before they would collect was very helpful. I would certainly recommend Better World Books to any academic library seeking to recycle its old books.

Better World Books completely solved our dilemma of how to dispose with over 2,000 unwanted books from our college library. Our only option was to send them to landfill (which would have cost us in terms of both finance and manpower), so coming across BWB was a very serendipitous moment! We have been very impressed with the service from Better World Books. Their customer service was excellent, with staff providing quick and detailed answers to all questions and keeping us updated with collection dates and information. Cartons were provided for all the books we were disposing of and they were collected efficiently as arranged by Better World Books. We have no facilities here for recycling so we were pleased to know that some of our books might be sold with donations being made to literacy charities and the remainder recycled rather than going to landfill - a win-win situation for all concerned... We would certainly recommend them to anyone and would intend to contact them again next year.

Your service coincided with a substantial stock revision at our largest library. We were impressed with the facility you offered us to be able to send books to be professionally and efficiently sold in a way that would reach a wider market than we could with our in house book sales. We were also happy to see that unsold items were either donated or recycled. All contacts with yourself and your colleagues have been friendly and helpful. Special mention to the driver who came to collect our first consignment who managed to find us despite the fact that I gave my home postcode by mistake - and no, I don't live at the library!
